After working as a commercial photographer in Ballarat, VIC for eight years I decided with my partner Paula to travel around the country…after a year of planning we finally departed on the 1st May 2015 heading west and taking on the country in a clockwise direction. The aim has been to attempt to capture the essence of the places and landscapes on our travels as well as to continuing my ongoing ‘Abandoned Places’ series which documents the forgotten and forlorn for an ongoing exhibition and artists' book. We were on the road for 15 months and ever since I've been busy editing images from our trip for the Austockphoto library and my print shop. We're now working on our next trip and taking a different route as there's so much more to see and experience.
